I'm Terri M., the breeder behind Great Companions MAS -Pennsylvania located in Allentown, PA. We produce quality health tested pups using the standard set forth in the AKC. We offer Championship breeding lines whelped/raised in a home setting.

Why did you start breeding?
I began as a helper to my mother in her breeding program in 2002. I spent over a decade studying and learning about the Mini Aussie. When the breed went AKC and modified the name to the Mini American Shepherd, I acquired my first breeding girl.What makes your program special?
My breeding girls live with me in my home. They are pets first, breeders second. They are fully DNA tested, hips, elbows. and eyes are certified. Pups are handled every day and socialized using sounds and exposure to people across a variety of demographics. I provide a live puppy cam that is on 24/7 so new owners can watch their puppy grow and interact with people.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Australian Shepherd Type, Myotonia Congenita, Australian Cattle Dog Type, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Cystinuria Type II-A, Australian Cattle Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
