Green Mountain Golden Retrievers

Jeff O.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Jeff O., the breeder behind Green Mountain Golden Retrievers located in Reading, VT. We love our red Goldens as pets. We focus on breeding beautiful, sound, well adjusted dogs. Our dogs are smart, easy to train, and love the outdoors. People who have gotten our dogs have used them as Emotional Support Animals, Field Trial competitors, Medical Alert dogs, and loving family pets.

Q. & A. with Jeff

  • Why did you start breeding?

We had a great male Golden, and thought he needed company, so we got a female, who turned out to also be great. The rest is history!
  • What makes your program special?

We only have one or two litters a year. The puppies are raised in our home. They have lots of space and grass to enjoy as they're growing. Having a veterinarian as an owner means the health of the parents and the puppies is of utmost importance.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
