Danelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Danelle partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“While families are always welcome to share preferences (such as gender, color, or general temperament), our primary focus is making the best long-term match for both the puppy and your home. Each puppy is carefully observed and evaluated throughout early development, allowing us to understand their individual temperament, energy level, and overall disposition. We take your lifestyle, household dynamic, and goals into account, and then guide placement based on which puppy is most likely to thrive in your environment. Puppies complete temperament testing from an experienced outside dog trainer or canine behavior expert at 7 weeks old, after which placements begin. Our goal is to not only place you with a puppy that you will love but, more importantly, to place a puppy that will naturally fit into your life, setting both of you up for long-term success.”

“AKC registration, vet health check, deworming, initial immunizations, structured puppy curriculum, health-tested parents, and a health guarantee are all included. A $500 deposit holds your place in the litter and establishes pick order. Puppies are selected in deposit order and matched by temperament first.”
Danelle may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Danelle offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Danelle directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

About Fern
Fern is a fun and attentive girl who live in home with our busy family. She loves kids (we have 7 sons) and she works daily alongside me as a mentor dog for all of the puppies that I train. She is the most loyal dog I've ever owned and I joke that any corner I come around I know she is going to be watching for me. She has a high drive and loves to work but is happy to come home and snuggle with the family after whatever we do. Fern has completed all recommended health testing and all of her results and records are posted publicly through OFA.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type, Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 5 (NCL5), Golden Retriever Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), PRA, Golden Retriever 2, PRA, Golden Retriever 1
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
