Q. & A. with Julie

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a child I have always had horses and dogs, didnt matter what breed or size i was in love!! I started working at age 16 for a multiple Veterinary practice in Southern California. This facility had a "Good Samaritan" policy where if the public found a lost dog they could bring it to our office and we would try to locate the owners or find them a new home.......So needless to say we had a lot of dogs! As I got older and moved to Northern California i continued to work as a Vet Tech for the next 18yrs. Once I got my first Corgi I was hooked!! The silly antics would just have my husband and I laughing!! So I had to have another, and so on.....This brought us to "Half Hitch Corgis"
  • What makes your program special?

At Half Hitch Corgis, we offer Ranch Raised AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Our puppies are well socialized and pre-spoiled born and raised in our home. The puppies are raised with cats, horses, and the occasional baby calves. We live on a ranch that allows the puppies and our dogs to get plenty of exercise. Our dogs love to swim, run, roll each other, and heel each other.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
