Meet the breeder

I'm Abby H., the breeder behind Hamilton Farm Doodles located in Buda, IL. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of this breed with other individuals and families!

Q. & A. with Abby

  • Why did you start breeding?

After living in China for 13 years and only having small pets like hamsters, guinea pigs... I was ready for a puppy. We got our first bernedoodle with the intent to breed her in 2020. She was the best pet ever! We have slowly grown our program to include 6 females and a male. We also use studs from outside programs for variety in color and adding great genetics to our lines. I breed because it gives me flexibility to be available for my family (I keep busy with all my kiddos!) and it is something I very much enjoy doing.
  • What makes your program special?

We are an in home program - so our puppies grow up right beside my kids and all the comings and goings of a busy household. They are incredibly well-adapted and confident puppies - ready for whatever adventure life may throw their way. We use the Bad Ass Breeder curriculums, so our puppies are being introduced intentionally to new experiences and challenges at appropriate times. We also introduce crate and potty training - that is a huge benefit when bringing home a new puppy!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brown and white, sable, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
