Tamara N.

Breeder of Labradoodles and Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Tamara N., the breeder behind Hanley Country Canines located in Central Point, OR. My goal is to raise healthy Poodles with excellent temperaments that will be excellent companions. We take great pride in the quality of puppies we produce for loving and caring homes.

Q. & A. with Tamara

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a young couple, we had a pair of Labs and raised a couple of litters before we had our children. After moving into our current home over 18 years ago we brought home our second pair of labs. This time we knew we wanted to start raising them and started Hanley Country Canines. We eventually moved from Labradors to Labradoodles and now our main focus is on Standard Poodles.
  • What makes your program special?

I have always been fascinated by genetics and enjoy learning about my dogs and predicting the outcome of our litters. I believe there is always more to learn and am always looking for ways to improve my breeding program. All of our adult dogs are DNA tested to ensure we raise the healthiest puppies possible. We raise our puppies in the home giving them the best start possible.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Labradoodle puppies are standard size. Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Labradoodle puppies include red, apricot, cream, chocolate, and black. Poodle puppies include sable, apricot, black, brown, cream, red, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
