I'm Cynthia C., the breeder behind HapPei House of Wrinkles located in Chipley, FL. Dedicated to their health, all parents are genetic health tested to help make a healthier next generation of pups. We use the SPAID test and the MTBP through Embark as a tool along with pedigree knowledge to help us make sound breeding decisions. We also take the time to test for POAG/PLL eye disease (primary open-angle glaucoma and primary lens luxation). Other tests such as OFA hip, elbow, and patella certifications are in the process of being done or completed.
Our pups are AKC registered; additionally, we offer to embark test each puppy for $100 and we cover the remaining fee of $60. We provide a health guarantee regardless of the outcome of the genetic tests. We also microchip your puppy with AKC reunite. All basic health needs such as worming, vaccines, and eye tacking (if needed) will be done prior to your puppy heading home. As an additional service, we have partnered with Trupanion. Our families are given the option of a take home offer when they pick up their puppies. This offer is for health insurance and due to our dedication, Trupanion waives any waiting periods for our puppies.
We believe in taking a holistic approach to most of their basic needs. We believe in modern medicine but we do feel less is more. We crate train from the very beginning and start house training our pups around 4-5 weeks so they will be house broken by the time they are around 8-9 weeks old.
Q. & A. with Cynthia
Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with this breed when my husband brought our first Shar-Pei, Boo-Bear home years ago. Ever since then, I decided that this was the only breed I would ever want. With Boo, I learned so many things about the Shar-Pei including their devoted nature, undying love, stubborn attitudes and their health issues. I made it a point after getting my next Pei that I wanted to help improve them
What makes your program special?
They are raised in the home so they get acclimated to the daily activities including the ever-present handful of young children who help mold them into lovable family companions!. When you purchase one of our Shar-Pei you aren't just purchasing a puppy; you're really getting part of our fur-family. We support you the best we can for the life of your Peiby
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red fawn, lilac dilute, fawn sable, cream dilute, blue dilute, apricot dilute, fawn, chocolate dilute, isabella dilute, blue, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Our Lucy is the greatest joy in our lives. Lucy is very healthy per our vet and oh so smart. She was potty trained already and learned to sit by the front door when needing to go out. Lucy was also crate trained and walked into her crate her first night here. She is a bundle of joy and has great puppy energy.
Cynthia did an awesome job of communicating with us and keeping us updated on Lucy's progress and arranged transport to meet us.
Lucy has her own Facebook fan page that Cynthia follows. Cynthia has checked in with me by text to follow up with advice and any questions I have had regarding Lucy.
We were given a schedule for Lucy so she could sorta remain on the same schedule at her new and permanent home here.
I was originally going to get a Shar Pei from a breeder in Washington state for I was insistent on a healthy one. That breeder referred me to Cynthia for she is a concienteous breeder and Cynthia is in my home state of Florida . I highly recommend Cynthia with HapPei House of Wrinkles

Cynthia is amazing! She was very responsive from the moment we first sent an inquiry about her puppies. She helped us pick the best puppy based on our lifestyle and the other animals that we have in our home. She sent frequent updates on our boy and how he was growing! We loved every time she would send us new pictures and videos. She even drove our boy all the way to North Carolina to meet us to make the journey a little bit easier on our puppy. She sent updates on the way and even conditioned him to car rides long before his big travel day. We are beyond happy with our puppy and all of the help that Cynthia has provided us!
