I'm Diana W., the breeder behind Happy Havi Tails located in Kansas City, MO. We just adore Havanese and can't wait to share our love for them with you! We are passionate breeders and are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding practices. We do all that we can to make sure our pups get the best care and go to the best homes!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When my children were born I wanted them to grow up with a family pet and they both had terrible allergies. So my hunt for the perfect pup began! I stumbled across this breed and I was surprised I had never heard of them before, but they seemed like they'd be perfect for us. So, we bought a havanese and fell in love and I just wanted to give this gift to others, the perfect companion!

  • What makes your program special?

    We're a daughter/mother team. Our dogs are our pets first and we're just a small in home service, having only 1-2 litters/year. My puppies are raised in my home, with plenty of space and I expand as they grow. They're also litter box trained(w/pine pellets). They're handled every single day and socialized with my children, some trusted friends & family. Most of all, we care and we love what we do!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and white, white, chocolate, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Diana

Diana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Diana partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Puppies are matched around 6–8 weeks of age once temperaments and personalities can be more accurately observed. While all puppies continue developing over time, we strive to place each puppy in the home that best fits their current temperament, energy level, and individual personality.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The Deposit is 50% non-refundable & 50% refundable. All of it is applied towards the cost of your puppy. If an unforeseen life event happens I will roll the deposit forward one time to the next litter.”

Diana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Full Embark Panel, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Diana was genuinely the most delightful person to work with. She had very clear communication, quick replies and is totally transparent throughout the entire process. I got my puppy from her last November (2025) and I have no regrets at all. Dianna makes sure that her puppies are very well taken care of and go to good homes. You can clearly tell that her top priorities are the health and happiness of all the fur babies as well as the new owners!
