I'm Dustin S., the breeder behind Happy Howlin' Smokey Mountain Huskies located in Columbus, NE. We are proud to offer our beautiful puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have great temperaments. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding Huskies started with a deep love and admiration for this incredible breed. From the first time I encountered Huskies, their striking appearance, boundless energy, and affectionate nature captivated me. It became clear that these dogs, with their rich history and unique traits, deserved not only admiration but active preservation.

  • What makes your program special?

    We’re dedicated to ensuring a smooth adjustment we provide a FREE online basic obedience program by us for Huskies & Discounts on future specialty training!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include brown and white, black and white, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dustin

Dustin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Dustin partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“My price includes the puppy, registration all required vaccinations, dewormed and their home package sent with each puppy. All deposits placed on our Siberian Husky puppies are non-refundable. Once a deposit is received, the selected puppy is immediately removed from the market and reserved exclusively for the buyer. This means we stop advertising the puppy, decline inquiries from other potential families, and may miss opportunities to place that puppy with another approved home. Raising healthy, well-socialized puppies requires a significant investment of time, care, resources, and planning. From daily care and veterinary expenses to communication with prospective owners and managing reservations, every puppy reservation represents a commitment on our part. Because timing is critical in finding the right homes for our puppies, and because reserving a puppy limits our ability to offer that puppy to other interested buyers, all deposits are considered compensation for the time, effort, and lost marketing opportunities associated with holding the puppy. By placing a deposit, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that the deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including changes in personal situations, relocation, financial hardship, or a decision not to proceed with the purchase.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the very beginning, the communication was outstanding. Dustin and his wife, Emily, kept us updated throughout the entire process, answered every question we had, and were always happy to FaceTime us whenever we wanted to check in on our little guy. It made such a difference to be able to watch Hickory grow and know he was being so well cared for. They even took the time to show us both mom and dad over FaceTime and tell us about each of their personalities and temperaments, which gave us confidence knowing where our puppy came from. When it was finally time to bring Hickory home, they went above and beyond. They sent us home with food, toys, a blanket that smelled familiar to help with the transition, and a complete, organized folder with all of his veterinary records and care information, as wells as tips for training and whatnot. It’s apparent from every interaction how much love, care, and dedication they put into raising their puppies and making sure each one is ready for a happy, healthy life with their new family. Their dedication, transparency, and kindness made the entire process enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. We’re grateful for everything they’ve done for us and absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a healthy, well-socialized, and well-loved puppy.     Dustin was awesome to work with! Very responsive and flexible with plans/schedules. We fell in love with our puppy from her very first photo and were able to do a video call and got weekly updates until pick up. Everything with our puppy is very in order - shots, health, cleanliness, she’s so social with such a lovely temperament and I love that they offer free training with their dogs. If we weren’t already avid husky lovers we would do it! Overall great experience, friendly, cannot recommend enough!

    Dustin was so great to work with, he made the process of adding puppies to our family such a breeze. We received pictures of our puppies on a regular basis as they were growing up from birth to 8 weeks old. Dustin even offered to let us video chat with the pups! Dustin's communication and response time was great. When we arrived to pick up the puppies, Dustin and his wife were waiting for us with the pups in the front yard. They introduced us to the puppies mom and dad, who were very sweet, and answered every question we had. Dustin was proactive in offering puppy training suggestions and anything else that would be helpful to us. Dustin and his wife were so nice that we ended up chatting with them for nearly an hour and a half before departing. They provided all the necessary paperwork and even gave us a cute bag with all the puppy essentials like food, toys, leash and harness for each puppy. Overall, I would rate Dustin as an A+ dog breeder and seller! Don't hesitate to buy from Happy Howlin' Smokey Mountain Huskies.
