Meet the breeder

I'm Allison S., the breeder behind Happy Valley Doodles located in Julian, PA. We welcome your in-person visit to our home to see where these beautiful puppies are raised! Lucy, Esme, and Paisley are our family pets and we decided to breed after realizing all 3 of our kids will be in college at the same time! Their temperaments are amazing, they are so loving and devoted to us. Their puppies have great potential for service/therapy dogs. Esme came to us after our friend, her owner passed from a terminal illness. She loves her new home with us and we aim to give back a portion of her puppy sales to those in need.

Q. & A. with Allison

  • Why did you start breeding?

We decided to breed Lucy and Esme to help with our 3 teenagers' college education. Additionally, They are so super sweet and smart, that I really wanted to pass on the kindness and happiness her pups will bring to others! Esme came to us after our friend, her owner, Jan passed from a terminal illness. Jan planned to breed Esme and hoped that we would continue with her plan. I never envisioned that I would have more than one breeding female. The journey has been amazing and rewarding.
  • What makes your program special?

It comes from my heart! I realized how many unethical breeders there are without commitments to genetic and health testing, especially in Pennsylvania (farm breeders). With me, you will get a personalized experience while finding the perfect puppy for your home. I think location is key too, when I was searching for Lucy, I found how hard it was to locate a good breeder in central PA! We are within 15 minutes of Penn State University!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Goldendoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, red, black, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
