Meet the breeder

I'm John S., the breeder behind Harbinger Miniature Schnauzers located in Oneonta, AL. We love this breed and do everything we can to help it thrive. We give each of our dogs and puppies the best care that we can. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. This is where amazing temperament, intelligence, and beauty meet! We currently breed and show in confirmation. We average about 1 -2 litters per year and do offer a waitlist. All our breeders are health tested, vaccinated and socialized. They live in the home with us.

Q. & A. with John

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased our 1st show dog and 1st show bitch. After AKC Championing them both it became obvious that they had the traits to preserve and better the Miniature Schnauzer gene pool. We breed for adherence the AMSC miniature schnauzer standard and are always trying to better our line. Concentrating of structure as well as temperament is utmost importance to our program.
  • What makes your program special?

Harbinger Schnauzers stands out for its focus on health, temperament, and conformation. The program carefully selects breeding pairs to ensure genetic health and well-rounded puppies. Early socialization in a loving home environment shapes confident, well-adjusted dogs. With transparency, lifelong support, and continuous education, Harbinger provides exceptional Schnauzers for families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and silver and salt and pepper. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
