After buyers complete the application and screening process, Rebecca partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“The price includes the guarantee, AKC Registration, first-round and second-round vaccinations, deworming, puppy starter kit, and more. Once the application is approved, a non-refundable deposit is collected to reserve a puppy.”
Rebecca may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. We recommend Harbor of Hope Havanese without reservation. We traveled from the north-east to pick her up the last week of July when she was 10 ¾ weeks old. Our experience from the very beginning was wonderful. Rebecca has built a breeding program based on the best ideals, and she has provided her puppies with all the love, play, experiences, and early training for a solid start in life. Our Ginger (Sally from the Charlie Brown litter) came to us mostly potty-trained and very well-adjusted. She was comfortable with people and other dogs. Over the early months, she traveled and spent time in the country (apple picking) and in the city (getting used to the sights and sounds). She is a smart pup who readily took to training in her puppy kindergarten, and now in her puppy graduate classes. She is very healthy and can eat a wide variety of foods with no GI issues. Her favorite treats are blueberries and Cheerios, and for those she will sit, lie down, dance, and rollover in one fell swoop! She loves to learn tricks, and we intend to try tricks and possibly agility training for fun training classes in her future. She loves her small-dog playgroup and is the leader of the pack. At the training center, staff remark on how smart she is, her beautiful coat, her pretty markings, and her joyful temperament.

Juniper is literally the best puppy we've ever had. 10 weeks old, and ZERO accidents so far (7 days and counting). Harbor of Hope did an amazing job raising the pup and getting her ready for adoption. Loves her crate already. We had weekly picture and video updates as we awaited the go-home date. The overall communication was excellent. I've already recommended them to all my friends who might want a small lap dog.

Phillip and Rebecca from Harbor of Hope Havanese have been amazing. They are very responsible breeders, responsive and knowledgeable. They raise their puppies to be trusting, social, playful and loving. We got our puppy at 10 weeks old, and he was already comfortable with his crate, social with humans and other pets, and on his way to house training. I would 100% recommend them!

Rebecca was an excellent breeder to work with. She and her husband were very knowledgeable about the breed and kept in great communication with us throughout the entire process. We highly recommend them! Our little 15-week-old Pippin came to us in excellent health and clearly well cared for. He has been such a joy—sweet, spunky, and incredibly smart. At just a few months old, he can already fetch, sit, lay down, and shake, and he’s even working on ringing a bell to go outside. He’s been wonderful with our two kids and has truly become a beloved part of our family.

I never thought that I would be THIS in love with our little furry baby! I have had many dogs through my 52 years and agreeing to adopt a pup after 8 years of not having one was no small decision but I couldn’t be happier! Our little Addie, now 7 months old, is incredibly intelligent, easy to train, super soft and has the most adorable personality! She is always with us, on walks, shopping, vacations and camping. We couldn’t imagine not having her with us as she is always bringing us such love and joy. She knows when I get a migraine and follows me and jumps up to be near me or even sits on my feet and looks up to me with her beautiful big eyes- she melts me! The breeders have always been there to answer questions and offer support and have clearly never stopped loving her. Addie’s health has been wonderful and I fully expect her to live a long, happy, healthy life, always by our sides. I can’t thank Harbor of Hope Havanese enough for the treasure that all of us have in our newest family member. 💕
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
