Meet the breeder

I'm Kyndrea H., the breeder behind Hardin Hills Wheatens located in Crane, MO. We adopted our first Wheaten Terrier back in 1996. We have had a love and passion for the breed ever since. They are the only dogs we raise, and we do so for the love and betterment of the breed. Our goals are sound genetics, loving temperaments, adorable looks, and wonderful adoptive placements.

Q. & A. with Kyndrea

  • Why did you start breeding?

My dreams were answered over 30 ago, when I met and fell in love with my first Wheaten, Bailey. I enjoyed his playful, affectionate, and congenial personality. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian, so that combined with a passion for this wonderful breed, set things in motion for me to become a breeder. I love animal husbandry and getting to know our adopting families.
  • What makes your program special?

Exceptional Puppy Raising Practices - Early Neurological Stimulation - Socialization Protocols - Foundation Training - Vaccinations Current - Veterinary Exam - Annual Health Exams for Sire/Dam - Maintain Genetic Diversity - AKC Reunite Microchip Plus, we want to care for our adopting families, too. We provide training guides and a lifetime of support.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are wheaten. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
