Harenberg Working Dogs

Audrey L.

Breeder of English Springer Spaniels

Meet the breeder

I'm Audrey L., the breeder behind Harenberg Working Dogs located in Ft. Liberty, NC. My priorities are balanced working drives, social and environmental stability, physical endurance, functional structure and coat, the desire and ability to work at a high level all day and a pleasant house-pet temperament. I expect field-bred spaniels to be natural therapy dogs and use mine as such.

Q. & A. with Audrey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I did not initially plan to breed my SAR K-9, but I did his health testing in order to add to public databases for his gene pool, and he has refined what I want in my future working dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

If I breed a dog, it will meet my personal requirements for a hard driving, all-day working dog with a calm and gentle therapy dog temperament, as well as have a full Embark panel and PennHIP in addition to its OFA CHIC #.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
