Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer F., the breeder behind Haus-Farr German Shepherds located in Ramsey, IL. My dogs are part of the family, are well socialized with kids and handled twice daily. I breed healthy and structurally correct puppies with sound temperaments and social skills. They all experience ENS and sound desensitization from an early age. I take my job seriously, knowing that my puppies will become someone's forever companion.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My husband purchased my first breeding-age female for Mother's Day, and my program and education of the breed have blossomed from then on. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.

  • What makes your program special?

    I have a love and passion for what I do and my reward is getting to meet all of the lovely new families that purchase my puppies. Since I am a stay-at-home mom I get to spend countless hours a day with each litter handling and socializing them to prepare them for their new homes. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, and cuteness and love are guaranteed.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include plush and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Jennifer

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,650 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes, AKC, vet health check, first round of puppy vaccines, de-wormer every 2wks, sample food, folder and toy or blanket. Deposit ensures a puppy spot. Families will pick puppies in order of deposit received starting at 5wks of age. Although the deposit is non-refundable, it is however transferable."

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We recently got our girl and she is absolutely the best addition to our family! She is getting along great with our three kids and our 5 year old Mini Aussie. She has taken interest in the cats as well. You can tell she has been handled with love prior to getting her, she has been sweet and playful from the start! Two weeks worth of potty training and she has learned to ring the bell to go outside! Such a smart girl!

    We had the absolute best experience with Jennifer and Haus-Farr. Her constant communication throughout the entire process was very helpful and reassuring. She answered all of our questions and sent pictures while we waited to pick up our girl. Payment was a smooth and secure process and I did not have any concerns throughout. Our puppy has the absolute best temperament, is super smart and has an incredible coat already. She immediately knew what to do at bedtime when it was time to go into her crate and the transition into our family has been absolutely seamless. I love that the puppies are exposed early to sounds and to children and you can completely see her excitement whenever she sees our kids or another. Our vet was overjoyed by her and gave her a perfect bill of health. Our Aria has been a complete joy and the perfect addition to our family. I highly recommend Jennifer!
