I'm Missy H., the breeder behind Haven Acre Goldens located in Prineville, OR. I’m passionate about Golden Retrievers and am excited to responsibly share them with the world! I offer top-quality, loving pups that have been bred for their excellent temperament and health. It is one of my life goals to breed Goldens that make exceptional service and therapy dogs, in addition to being wonderful companions.

Why did you start breeding?
My severely autistic son died of seizure complications at the age of 9 when his Golden Retriever, Haven, was only 11 months old. Because I couldn't afford a fully trained and raised autism therapy dog, I wanted to try and do it myself, but didn't get that opportunity. My goal in life has been to provide this opportunity for other families in the hopes that they can raise and train loving dogs used for comfort and therapy.What makes your program special?
In order for my puppies to have the best lives possible, I will not breed dogs until they have had all of the necessary health and temperament testing done. I'm striving for the best for my dogs and their families, and that shows in all of the steps I take during the breeding process. I give each puppy lots of love and socialization from the very beginning of their life until they leave to their forever homes.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

"Price includes limited AKC registration papers with spay/neuter agreement. Puppies vary in price depending on desired litter. Deposit amount depends on the litter expected, which varies. Waitlist deposits and puppy holding deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another litter."

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
