Q. & A. with Evelyn

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding Golden Retrievers because after my first one, I completely fell in love with the breed. Their loving nature, intelligence, and loyalty made such an impact on me that I wanted to be part of preserving and improving these amazing dogs. I aim to do things the right way, ensuring quality dogs by following ethical breeding practices, focusing on health and temperament.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes my breeding program special is my unwavering commitment to quality, ethics, and the well-being of every Golden Retriever I bring into the world. I don’t just breed for looks—I focus on health, temperament, and proper socialization to ensure my puppies grow into well-adjusted, loving companions. My goal isn’t just to breed Golden Retrievers—it’s to better the breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Working with Evelyn was a total pleasure. Our puppy, which we named Ruby Belle came to us very well adjusted and social. She has a great personality and I credit that to Evelyn and the way she takes care of her puppies. Her whole family is involved and you can tell that they really love the puppies. I highly recommend her.

From start to finish Evelyn did a fantastic job with us adopting our sweet boy Nimbus(previously teal)! She gave tons of advice since this was our first time getting a young pup as well as offering plenty of options as far as pickup and she was very efficient in communication as well. I can tell she is very passionate about goldens and it reflected on how Nimbus was raised and loved from the start! I will definitely be adopting from her in the future when we are ready for another addition! We love Nimbus so much and it’s all thanks to Evelyn, her family and of course Nimbus’ mom Hope!

Evelyn was very easy to communicate with and was quick to respond from our first contact all the way to the end at puppy pick up. We enjoyed all the updates about the puppies during our wait. All the puppies were happy and healthy and Evelyn provided items we needed to ensure a smooth transition and ride home. She truly is a caring breeder. ~The Williams family
