I'm Tisha G., the breeder behind Healing Hearts Therapy Goldens located in Osceola, IA. We are a very selective breeder of the highest quality Golden Retrievers with superior health & dispositions, genetic diversity, intelligence, & trainability. Our goal is to raise amazing goldens - peaceful souls who can be more than just pets - dogs that make a difference in people's lives.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding dogs for service work after I lost a nephew with special needs. There is such need for assistance animals, and they can dramatically improve the quality of lives for those that need them. I've fallen in love with therapy work, too, and love how the dogs make people smile. I have taken numerous breeding courses through Avidog Intl., and follow the Superstar Program for dogs.What makes your program special?
We breed selectively and handle pups daily, raising them in our home, following a very specific program that will help to develop those qualities that will make them better able to withstand stress, be attuned to their family's needs, and be well prepared for future service or therapy or scent work for many years if so desired. They will make exceptional pets/show dogs or therapy animals.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"All puppies from the same litter are the same price. They will come with AKC limited registration, which means they are not allowed to be bred, but may be shown in obedience, agility, tracking, etc. See appl. from puppy page of healingheartsgoldenretrievers dot com for deposit refund conditions. About Buddy
**AVAILABLE FOR STUD SERVICE Buddy is a very mellow, loving boy who is a certified therapy dog! He is extremely patient and kind, and just what we were looking for to cross with the temperament of our more driven girls! He loves kids and attention, and is so very sweet natured and trainable. Loves to cuddle and give kisses, and REALLY loves to play with toys. He's just a puppy at heart! Very healthy boy, no allergies or issues of any kind.

About Duchess
Duchess is a sweet, gentle girl with an old soul personality! She is a family favorite, very laid back and eager to please. Playful, very happy girl. Prefers human company to playing with her doggie friends. She will often sit right beside or in front of you and gently place her paw on your leg for attention. Very healthy girl who is intelligent and trainable. Loves to retrieve (especially socks!). Lots of character, too!

About Trinity
Trinity is our keeper from Scarlett (daughter of Hope) and Ozark (Arkgold Mountain Shindig in the Holler). Extremely athletic, great nose, amazingly biddable and trains easier than any dog I've ever worked with because of her strong human/handler focus. Great work ethic and loves all people. Has good drive but also an off switch and loves to get her hugs every morning! She will run and retrieve all day, and really loves any body of water (including her bucket when she's outside lol). Very food motivated. Correct conformation, awesome thick coat. Nice broad head and full cheek like I like, as well as that really light cream coat.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation , Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type, Temperament Test, Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
