Susan P.

Breeder of Bernedoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Susan P., the breeder behind Heartland Kennels located in Omaha, NE. Responsibly raised puppies to have tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. Raised and bred with health, temperament and intelligence as the focus. Parents are OFA tested for sound knees and elbows. Puppies are ENS tested for stress tolerance and development.

Q. & A. with Susan

  • Why did you start breeding?

My daughter-in-law encouraged me. I was fearful of the unknown but decided to delve in. I am grateful I did. These sweet puppies have opened my heart wider as I watch their playful antics and feel their need to be loved and held. I wanted to help others experience the joy of having a faithful companion that is a precious dog.
  • What makes your program special?

I have raised my puppies in the hub of my home. From birth, they have experienced life in human surroundings. They are accustomed to the vacuum, garbage disposal, music playing, and the blender roaring. They are not phased by the lawn mower, leaf blower and weed whacker. They have been introduced to a variety of scents which makes them more confident and nose aware along with ENS testing.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
