I'm Tina H., the breeder behind Heckmans English Cream Golden Retrievers located in Madison, OH. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of this breed with other individuals and families!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have been breeding Axolotls and Leopard Geckos for almost 5 years now. We are the owners of www.themottledlotl.com We decided since we are very versed in genetics and breeding to try breeding our favorite type of dogs to make beautiful good bred healthy dogs for nice pets.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our puppies come with AKC Registration papers, Vet Checked, Current on Shots & Deworming, Microchipped and a Health Guarantee.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Tina

Tina has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes a refundable $200 deposit. Puppies will come with AKC Registration papers, Vet Checked, current on Shots & Deworming, Microchipped and Health Guarantee. After a deposit it paid that puppy will be held for you until we arrange pick yp. We would like the final payment made at least a day before pick up.”

Contract & health guarantee

Tina may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    Tina and her family bred a perfect, playful and healthy pup! Luciano (Lucci) aka Green Collar, made the longest trek out of the litter and now lives in Tampa, Florida. Tina responded within the hour and drove from Madison, OH to the Cleveland Airport for drop off. I cannot thank her enough for my sweet baby. Highly recommend working with Tina! As for Lucci, he’s settling in, wreaking havoc and looking adorable while doing it❤️

    Tina was great! From posting pictures of Hope's sonogram, to being to be able to be a part of the whole process, watching the puppies grow. Tina always answered any questions I had within a day. When we to pick up our pup we were so excited to meet Hope "mom" and Faith "Grandma" my husband was truly impressed. All the puppies were absolutely beautiful. I would definitely would recommend her to anyone looking for a golden. My husband even said to me on the way home why didn't I get two and I told him when I went back to look they were already spoken for, but this is saying for something in the future I have a feeling. Tina also giving us a blanket with moms scent on was calming for her also. She have may only wined once on the way home and hasn't since. This is our BREYER!

    Tina is absolutely wonderful! She always responded to all my questions and was very clear and personable. Meeting her in person when I went to pick up my puppy was even better as I not only got to meet Tina who's awesome, but I also met Hope and Faith who are so pretty and lovely.
