I'm Mary B., the breeder behind Heritage Rhodesian Ridgebacks located in Fallbrook, CA. It is our goal as a Ridgeback breeder to do our best to produce healthy, sound of mind, and correct to type Rhodesian Ridgebacks. A well rounded pet that will be a welcome addition to any family. It is our hope to share the love we have for this breed, and to pass on a “Heritage” of beautiful, healthy, sound tempered dogs, to all who adopt one of our puppies!
Q. & A. with Mary
Why did you start breeding?
After much research we adopted our first Rhodesian Ridgeback in 2004. My husband picked out a sweet little flop eared girl that the breeder informed us was a show quality puppy...there began a journey I could never imagine would end up where we are now. We've learned a lot, made some friends, and most importantly, developed a successful process of breeding beautiful, healthy, well adjusted pups.
What makes your program special?
Our attention to the needs of our families, the mental and physical health of our pups, and making sure our new Rhodesian Ridgeback homes are prepared for the needs and training of our unique breed, even when that requires one-on-one in home training assistance. It is our goal for the adoption process to be a complete success!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
