I'm Kristin F., the breeder behind Hidden Brook GSD located in Great Falls, VA. Bred for work, sport, show, and companionship, our dogs boast excellent blood lines and great temperament and health. The sire is a son of Gary von Huhnegraab, a two time World Sieger Show champion. The dam has advanced AKC obedience certifications, highly trainable with a exceptional temperament.
Q. & A. with Kristin
Why did you start breeding?
We bred our first pair of shepherds so that our kids could experience the joy of raising a litter of puppies. After that, it got into our blood and we realized we are committed to enhancing the quality of the breed through champion bloodlines combined with rigorous obedience training to produce top working dogs in addition to show dogs or companion pets.
What makes your program special?
Aside from our emphasis on finding the best pairing between the sire and dam, our program focuses on socialization and early training. We follow Early Neurological Stimulation best practices and start early with house breaking and crate training in addition to basic obedience. Our pups are handled daily and live with young children to ensure best possible outcomes when going to a new home.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
