I'm Jordan T., the breeder behind High Country Golden Retrievers located in Wellington, CO. Our Goldens are excellent family dogs, adventure companions, our best friends, are amazing in the field or any activity, have field bred championship bloodlines, excellent health histories, current OFA exam results, and personalities that are nothing short of extraordinary and once in a lifetime.

Why did you start breeding?
Through our love of the breed and how we feel their drive and love is unmatched! Our pups excel at adventure and fun! Our goal is to not only have healthy dogs, but to help promote responsible breeding so every pup is healthy. We love golden retrievers and feel that every family that wants a once in a lifetime pup has a chance to have one. Our pups are simply nothing short of amazing.What makes your program special?
We are very dedicated to our Golden's and want the best for them. We work with passion, heart, integrity, and truly want what's best for our dogs. They are family to us and we want every pup to go home to an amazing home and be an adventure buddy and family dog to a very special family. Pups are raised in our home, with us and our children involved in every aspect. They are ready for anything!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Getting a puppy from Jordan
Jordan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All puppy purchases includes 8 week vaccinations, Puppy Health Vet Exam, deworming, and microchip. All puppies come with a 26 month health guarantee. Best match to be complete on or before the pups are 8 weeks old (we will pick for you based on our observations and your needs), with pickup at our home by the 9 week mark.”

About Loki
Loki is a very social energetic dark red Golden. He is an amazing family dog and also a pleasure to work with!! He is very athletic with excellent marking ability, trainable, willing, and easy to please. Loki loves kids and being loved by everyone! He is very loving and fun to be around and gets along great with other dogs. He has excellent health and genetic clearances. He also has his Junior Hunting title at under 3, and is started on his Master Hunter as well. Loki has a great pedigree with lots of Field Champion’s, Master Hunter’s, Companion and Obedience Dogs. He has an amazing personality and is great with families and kids.

About Hunter
Hunter loves to play and also to retrieve anything! He enjoys the water, is an outstanding companion and strong in the field. Hunter is one the the most amazing and intelligent Golden’s we’ve ever had the privilege of having. He is an amazing family companion and adventure buddy! We’ve hunted Upland over Hunter since he was 6 months old. He’s very athletic, drives hard and doesn’t miss much! Great quartering skills and stays in range (with encouragement!). His nose is outstanding. He simply loves to hunt! Hunter will do anything you ask him to – all day long. He’s well mannered, affectionate and obedient. He may well be the most verbal Golden we’ve ever had (always has much to say – not barky though!). Hunter is incredibly intelligent and very smart. He is an amazing dog to watch. A copy of his AKC Pedigree is available upon request. Hunter has health clearances and his 5 star CHIC certification from OFA.

About Singer
Singer is a female of 60 pounds. She’s smart, obedient, and trainable, amazing companion and family member in our home. She drives hard, has great stamina & consistency and an outstanding nose. Singer is one of the most affectionate Goldens we've ever had. She is such a sweet and loving pup. Her personality is so warm and friendly and she exemplifies the definition of a family dog. Her activity level is on the medium side in the home and she does very well in the field. Whether She's training, field work, or hunting, she does it all! Singer is also so calm and sweet with our 6 and 3 year old daughters, it is truly a joy to be around her and witness such an amazing, loving, sweet, and affectionate pup. We have Singer's mom and Grandma as well as her Sire and multiple siblings and cousins! This line is one amazing line of pups! Once in a lifetime sort of bloodline.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type, Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
