About Cara
Cara was born in Scotland and came over to the States when she was about 12 weeks old. Cara is a derivative of the Gaelic word charaid which means friend. Cara has a high bird drive and a very natural hold. However, when she is in the house, she has a very gentle therapy type temperament. She's very good at calming the kids down when my kids are struggling with something.

About Penny
Penny is from the litter that Rosie had with Reggie in the fall of 2024. My 11yo daughter has done the bulk of her training so far. They are turning into a great team and Penny works really well for her. Penny has a high bird drive and a very natural hold. She retrieved pheasants for me at 8 weeks during bird testing day. I was very impressed and decided to keep her. Penny does very well in the house. She has a very good natural off switch so we are working on reinforcing that. She is easy to bring in the house.

About Rosie
Rosie has a strong field pedigree and there are working service dogs in her maternal line. She is very easy to train and retains what she knows well. She's an excellent marker and loves to find pheasants. She is the first dog I have trained in field work so we have both been learning as we go. Sometimes I feel like I'm holding her back because of my lack of knowledge, but a friend I train with has encouraged me to keep working at it. The kids are good help with running ducks around ponds to help throw and we are having fun! She is fast and very agile. In the house, Rosie has a wonderful off switch. She is very good around my kids.
