Meet the breeder

I'm Christina W., the breeder behind Hillside Kennels located in Collinsville, MS. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcome a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!

Q. & A. with Christina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up working in a vet clinic for 15+ years and breeding always interested me. I use to show boxers while in college and fell in love with the breed. I decided to purse my passion of raising quality puppies for new families to enjoy. Later on, when my son was diagnosed with allergies, I had to transition from the shedding boxers and decided on the Minis, and eventually expanded to the Giants!
  • What makes your program special?

I spend hours daily ensuring the first 8-10 weeks of these puppies lives are full of love, attention, structure, socialization, etc. They are raised inside and I start young working on potty training and basic manners. I also spend time with desensitization to ensure they don’t go to their new homes scared and shaking in a corner. I truly do prioritize these babies while I have them in my care!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature Schnauzer puppies include white, parti, black, and salt and pepper. Giant Schnauzer puppies include black and tan, pepper and salt, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
