Q. & A. with Laura
Why did you start breeding?
After adopting our first bernedoodle, we knew we had added a very special member to our family, and wanted to share this joy with others!
What makes your program special?
At Hope Valley Farm, we treat all our dogs like family. They sleep in our beds, sit on our couches with us, and have ample space to run and play on our farm. All our parent dogs have been genetic and OFA tested to ensure optimal health is passed on to their puppies.
We use early desensitization techniques that enable puppies to be flexible, resilient, and confident in a variety of situations.
Our puppies are socialized daily and will have started potty and crate training. While all puppies will require additional work and training, we strive to give them the absolute best start in life, so they will be a blessing to your family for many years to come.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies include black and white and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jolee, mom
Bernedoodle
About Jolee
Jolee lives across town with her guardian family and spends her free time flopping on her guardian kiddos, chasing squirrels and enjoying belly rubs. She is loving, happy, snuggly, and extra-gentle with kids. She has been thoroughly health tested and is clear of all Poodle and Bernese Mt. Dog genetic mutations. She also has passing OFA scores for her elbows, patellas, and heart and an excellent score for hips, a rare find for a larger bernedoodle. Jolee has a wavy, low-shedding coat with classic Bernese Mountain Dog markings.
Annie, mom
Poodle
About Annie
Annie brings joy and love to everyone she meets. She is the largest lap dog you will ever meet, and enjoys a good back scratch or sniffing around the boundaries of our property. She has perfect DNA genetic results, and brings so much to the world of cavapoos, including balancing the Cavaliers leg / body size.
Good health testing
Sebaceous Adenitis (SA), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), +3 more.
Rosie, mom
Bernedoodle
About Rosie
Hope Valley's "Stop and Smell the Rosie" is part of our family here at Hope Valley Farm and lives inside with all the craziness of our family. She is an F1 Miniature Bernedoodle and has the most calm and gentle demeanor. She is loyal, motherly, and sweet as they come. She is the "mother hen" to our family, always checking in on my children and licking them if the are dirty! She is a healthy 32 lbs, stands 17" at the shoulder and is clear for all genetic diseases with excellent OFA hip scores.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I came to Laura not quite ready to purchase but eyeing one of her puppies. She patiently answered every question I had and I was soon ready to buy my boy Maverick. It was very obvious to me that Mav had been lovingly handled and he had some basic commands started as well as crate training. She honestly did the hard part for me and he’s never had an accident in his crate. As I’m new to the breed she walked me through all my questions about health and temperament and is still responsive if I ever reach out on Good Dog. Mav came to me during a big shift in my personal life and has been the best little addition. While still a puppy, 17 weeks at time of this post, he’s learned many new tricks and the rules of the house and how to be around small children. He’s a sponge for information and a showstopper anywhere we go. I’m so glad I found Laura and little Mav!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
