I'm Adrianne D., the breeder behind Hopecrest Show Dogs located in Morgantown, WV. We’re a home-based breeder who loves showing our dogs in the daytime just as much as we enjoy cuddling them at night. We have two Crufts Best of Breed Winners and two Westminster Kennel Club Best of Opposite Winners! We're also a National Dog Show Best of Breed Winner, an AKC National Championship Best of Breed Winner, and won two Best of Breed National Owner-Handler Series! I am blessed to have a full life and am so happy that I have the opportunity to share my dogs with you and your family!
Q. & A. with Adrianne
Why did you start breeding?
We have had Cotons since our youngest children were still in diapers! We also love Biewer Terriers and are just getting started breeding them. I am an experienced breeder, and my priority is to ensure the health and well-being of all my dogs from birth until they leave with their forever family and beyond. My program strives to not only continue our award-winning cherished show line but to preserve these breeds and ensure they continue to move forward for generations to come.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies come from award-winning and renowned show lines. They are also all CHIC certified in canine health prior to breeding. We work with passion, heart, integrity, and truly want what's best for the Coton de Tulear and Biewer Terrier lines. We hope that your Hopecrest Show Dog adds just as much joy and love to your lives as they have ours!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Hopecrest Show Dogs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cotons de Tulear.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Coton de Tulear Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
