Q. & A. with Dawn
Why did you start breeding?
I worked for a local breeder in college and became hooked on the poodle breed and dog shows. Through years of co-owning and co-breeding litters, I finally branched out on my own under the Horizon poodles name and havent looked back.
What makes your program special?
I believe in soundness of mind and body. While I am known for my quality silvers, I have poodles in most colors. We believe in quality, type, and soundness. We have dogs that excel in almost all venues. Conformation, obedience, rally, agility, scentwork, therapy, and we have started working in barn hunt and they love it!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, blue, brown, cafe au lait, silver, silver-beige, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
