Meet the breeder

I'm Tayler H., the breeder behind Hunter Farm located in Mars Hill, NC. We live on a small farm nestled in the mountains. Our dogs are a major part of our family, and they contribute to our lives in multiple ways! We are currently working on honing in on our poodles innate ability to flush and retrieve! Our goal is to produce beautiful and healthy puppies to improve the quality of their breed as well as improve the lives of humans as well. We want to share these quality dogs with other prepared families. We long to be a life long resource and build new relationships with others through our poodle babies!

Q. & A. with Tayler

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have raised animals all our lives such as cattle, horses, and goats. My family has also raised working dogs as well as guardian dogs for the majority of my life. We want to do our part as responsible breeders and produce healthy, well-rounded pups with a focus on conformation, temperament, intelligence, and health that make the perfect companions for any loving family or individual!
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs not only are part of our loving family, but they also have a responsibility that they love. We have an entire family approach and our children take part in the care of our animals as well! Our puppies are very well rounded as well as exposed to so many more experiences by living on our farm! If you are looking for the perfect, quality companion, look no further! We use the BABs curriculum as well as some Puppy culture morphed together to our preference. We also utilize resources such as Baxter and Bella as well as trupanion!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue, cafe au lait, silver-beige, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

From the very first contact with Tayler her professionalism, friendliness, and love for her dogs was evident. She answered all questions and helped us so much with preparing for our new baby Ellie Mae. I am accustom to working with breeders but I have never experienced this amount of care and love that was poured into this puppy from Tayler and her family. We traveled from Michigan to pick up Ellie Mae and Tayler went out of her way to work with her on airline carrier training. This extra attention to detail made our trip home less stressful for Ellie and us. We have been home for 2 days now and due to the routines Tayler used while raising the puppies potty training has been a breeze, Bedtime has also been easy with only a few minutes of fussing and then we all are getting a full 8 hrs of sleep. Thank you Tayler for your love and commitment in raising happy and healthy puppies and going out of your way to provide the highest level of support to your families.

Tayler was wonderful. That’s just one word to describe the journey my fiance and I had with picking up our girl Magnolia. Tayler was super transparent and filled with knowledge on the breed. She answered all questions promptly and throughly. She made the experience fun, exciting, calming and enjoyable. Tayler and her family but in the dedication and time as-well as the professionalism you would want to find in a breeder. Her passion into these puppies is unmatched. Thank you Tayler for all your support and the greatest puppy companion a person could dream for.
