I'm Meda, H., the breeder behind Hydden Aussies located in Charlestown, IN. We are a small family breeding program that strives to produce healthy, happy Toy Australian Shepherds / Mini American Shepherds to the breed standard. I take great pride and joy in breeding these babies that are perfect for you. We can’t wait for you to reach out and find your Precious Puppy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    How I got into breeding toy Aussies . I grew up with standard Aussies my whole life. Once I moved out and got married I bought my first toy Aussies . I’ve always loved Aussies and small dogs so having a small Aussie was perfect for me. Then I decided I wanted to breed them and try and better the breed where I could. And to give families the same experience I had growing up with a Aussie by there side :)

  • What makes your program special?

    My program strives to keep the breed standard. We like to focus on unique coat colors and minimal white, stocky Toy Australian Shepherds.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, red, black, black tri, blue merle, red merle, red tri, and blue tri. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, red merle, red, and black. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red & white, red tri-color, black & white, black tri, black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Included with your puppy are ASDR & AKC Full registration or Pet registration. Pups will be up to date on shots and deworming, also each puppy goes home with a puppy care bag, food, toys, a collar, registration papers, and a vet booklet :) ! "

    Hydden Aussies is truly incredible! Meda puts so much effort and care into her program and her puppies. Little “Spice” (Our new girl) is the second pup we’ve gotten from her. Both of these babies have the most remarkable temperaments and have been very well socialized from the very start. Meda also genuinely strives to breed her Aussies to breed standard and focuses intently on genetics, health and disposition. As a fellow breeder, obedience trainer, and dog handler (for show), I can honestly say that Hydden Aussies is one of the select few breeders that I would get a dog from for our own program. Meda wants to continually improve the breed through each and every generation, which she always does. Her passion and dedication to her dogs is sooo obvious and it’s amazing. I would highly recommend Hydden Aussies! You will, without a doubt, have one of the best dogs EVER should you consider one of hers for your family! If you want a healthy, loving, well socialized pup that conforms to the Australian Shepherd breed standard (but in a smaller package!), Meda with Hydden Aussies is your breeder!!
