Q. & A. with Carrie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first Australian Shepherd when I was 13 years old and she was my best friend. I did everything with her til she passed at 15 years old. We showed in Agility, Obedience and more, winning at state levels. I even trained her to become a service dog representative. And in college I got my degree in Animal Behavior. I began breeding Aussies in 2011 and this is the breed I am passionate about!
  • What makes your program special?

What sets me apart is how true to form my Aussies are. (no bug eyes and mousy noses here!) My number one goal is a solid calm temperament. And I DON'T DOCK TAILS! on ANY puppies. I too was fooled when I got started that I had to dock for breed standard. ALL lies. You can show and excel with a long natural tail. It is SO much better for the animal to have a tail. Tail/spinal amputation is harmful.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
