Meet the breeder

I'm Brooke S., the breeder behind Indy's God Given Goldens located in Hamilton, OH. I was a Vet Technician before starting a family of my own. I learned quickly that family took priority over career and wanted to give my all as a mother. Pursuing breeding has allowed me to be at home with my boys teaching them while also rearing and training my favorite God Given Canines- Goldens!

Q. & A. with Brooke

  • Why did you start breeding?

Being a stay at home, homeschooling mom led me to look for ways to work with animals but from the enjoyment of home. I started offering dog sitting and boarding in our home. Eventually, this led to me wanting to add a dog to our family, which led me to the European line of Golden Retrievers. Breeding wasn't initial plan but the breed impressed me so much, it made sense to help preserve them.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a small program that raises our puppies in our home as part of our family. We do not kennel or cage. Our puppies get ample space, early stimulation, early training, socialization, desensitization and Puppy Culture Excercises . We are a family of faith and prayer. I believe in taking my responsibility of these little lives God has given very seriously. We truly love each puppy he gives us.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had a wonderful experience with Brooke, the breeder of our English Cream Golden Retriever. Our puppy was 2.5 months old when we brought him home, and he is healthy, well-socialized, and full of confidence. From the beginning, Brooke was extremely responsive and communicated clearly and consistently, which made the entire process smooth and reassuring. What stood out most was that she is a true individual, family-based breeder. The puppies were raised in her home alongside her own children, and it was clear they had formed a special bond with them. This early exposure to a warm, family environment really shows in our pup’s temperament. Brooke was very thoughtful and responsible in ensuring the puppies were going to the right homes. She took the time to get to know us and made sure we would provide a good long-term environment for the puppy, which we truly appreciated. She also shared regular updates and photos, and even ensured our puppy received his first vaccine before going home. She was also very transparent about the lineage, sharing detailed information about both the male and female dogs, including pedigree and background health details. This level of openness gave us a lot of confidence in the breeding quality and care behind the litter. An added bonus is that she also provides pet sitting, which gives our pup a chance to visit his mother and stay connected in a familiar environment. Most importantly, she treats each puppy in her care as an individual and gives them genuine attention and love. We feel very fortunate to have met Brooke and to have adopted our new puppy from her.

Brooke has been wonderful to work with on getting our puppy! She's informative, thoughtful, and a genuinely great breeder! Highly recommend! Our puppy is happy, healthy, and extremely adorable! The vet even said his temperament is very chill! I plan to stay connected to Brooke for a long time so mom and son can somewhat stay connected!
