Meet the breeder
I'm Alisha E., the breeder behind Iowa Home Grown Doodles and Poodles located in Jesup, IA. We began our breeding program in Sept 2023 with our first litter of golden doodles from our mama Lettie (Standard Poodle) and dad Vinny (Standard Goldendoodle), together they had 4 beautiful litters. We are currently now advancing our program to Standard Poodles. We are hoping for a litter in May 2026. This will be the first litter for both mama Dollie and dad Benny. Dollie is a AKC registered Parti Sable Standard Poodle, born in Texas (March 2024). Benny is also AKC registered Parti Sable Silver Brindle Standard Poodle, born in Maryland (June 2024). We are excited for some beautiful Parti Sable poodles this spring. All puppies are born and raised in our home and loved on from the first day of life. We believe in socializing our puppies with people of all ages! Our previous litters have been to several high schools, exposed to daycare children, visited nursing homes, adult day programs and participated in story hour at our local library several times. Puppies are exposed to the other dogs in our home daily. Puppies begin Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction at days 3-16 of life. This helps stimulating their brains, increase their confidence and expose them to gentle stressors. We believe these are important to help form a confident and well adapted puppy. We expose them to the vibration of an electric toothbrush to prepare them for grooming, as well as an ice pack touched to their feet to prepare them for cold weather. They are bathed and groomed weekly (including exposed to a blow dryer) to help decrease anxiety with grooming. Beginning at 3 weeks of age we begin noise desensitizing our puppies. We expose them to the sounds of fireworks, thunderstorms, trains, babies crying, vacuums, etc. We play these sounds while they eat, sleep and play to help decrease fear and anxiety to stimuli. Puppies are all exposed to the outdoors and have a healthy start to potty training prior to going home. Puppies are not released to their new homes until after 8 weeks of age to allow for proper detachment of mama and puppies. All puppies are vet checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines/dewormed appropriately and very much loved prior to going to their new families.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Alisha partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“It is required I meet the potential buyer prior to accepting deposit for a specific puppy. Meeting can either be in person or via FaceTime. Breeder will never ask for money to cover vet expenses or any other expensive other than deposit and agreed upon purchase price. ”
Price
“This price includes microchip, up to date on vaccinations/dewormed (age appropriate), socialization, desensitization. ($2500) AKC registration rate/breeding rights must be discussed with breeder prior to accepting deposit for specific puppy. Non-refundable deposit to hold a specific puppy. If something changes for buyer, breeder is not responsible for refunding deposit. Breeder must meet family, either in person or via FaceTime prior to deposit being accepted to hold puppy. I want to assure my puppies are going to proper homes. Payment due upon arrangement of pick up. Payment options available.”

DNA Disease Panel
