Meet the breeder

I'm Julie I., the breeder behind Issa L'mage Leonardo located in Toledo, OH.

Q. & A. with Julie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mother was the reason I got started in showing/breeding. I watched her go to shows, seminars, and more and I took a deeper interest in the breed and learning about the AKC standards. That is when and how my breeding and show career began. I have been mentored by her who is a breeder of merit, as well as many others in this business over the years.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a mother and daughter duo. We are a smaller breeding program. We take pride in our breeding program because our dogs/puppies are family. Our socializing is within our homes and tailored to love, care, and socialize each puppy. My mother houses the dam and whelps the puppies in her home, I house the sire in my home in the Toledo area.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are tricolor. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
