I'm Ron and Katrina K., the breeder behind Itrek White Swiss Shepherds located in Graham, WA. We are a very firm believer in type as we do show in conformation shows with all the animals we raise. So every breeding that takes place here has a reason. We are looking for that next puppy. That one that will continue on the line, and play an important role. There is a standard in which the breed is judged upon, and not every puppy will hit that mark. However, every puppy should be a result of hard work and dedication if they are from us. They should excel in all events, whether it be as a family companion, dock diving, agility, obedience, rally, tracking, nose work, herding, and/or a perfect service dog. This is just some of the reasons we chose to work with the Berger Blanc Suisse dog.
Q. & A. with Ron and Katrina
Why did you start breeding?
After nearly 7 years of research, we found and studied the breed Berger Blanc Suisse also known as the White Swiss Shepherd. It is a passion of ours to make sure we do everything right. So that is why we imported Lily from a well known kennel in Denmark to the USA. She is one superb example of a White Swiss Shepherd. We have shown her at many IABCA dog shows and got nothing but compliments. She has an amazing personality and loves everyone. She easily finished her adult championship titles. She has been genetic tested as well as hips and elbows. We hope to use her as a foundation into working towards the recognition of the Berger Blanc Suisse into the AKC. As long as we are strict and do everything we can perfectly, we hope one day this will happen. We are working along other respectable breeders in the USA. Following the FCI regulations and adhere to Circular 07/77. It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get this far. I hope that it will show in future puppies. Our puppies should be an all around perfect family dog that excels in all. Whether it be dock diving, agility, obedience, rally, tracking, nose work, herding, a service dog, and/or be just a family companion
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special in that the whole family is involved. We are competitive and determined to raise top quality Berger Blanc Suisse dogs that everyone will love and enjoy. We hope that our farm and family will bring out the best in each dog that leaves here. Not only will it be loved, health tested, but bred to the FCI Circular 07/77 standard. As a responsible breeder, that means we also screen each potential puppy buyer to ensure a perfect home for our puppies.
