I'm Jennifer C., the breeder behind Ivy Hills Havanese located in Guilford, IN. I have over 15 years' experience showing and breeding quality Havenese dogs. I love including them in my every day life. We pride ourselves in having good policies and a lifetime health guarantee with verified testing. We follow CHIC requirements and breed from a line of show dogs while also diversifying the genes.
Q. & A. with Jennifer
Why did you start breeding?
I love the eminently friendly, intelligent, and easygoing qualities of Havenese, along with their soft fur. My involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. Ultimately, I would like to diversify the genes of Havenese.
What makes your program special?
I test all of my dogs and follow CHIC requirements for canine health, which are far more extensive beyond a normal veterinary check. I also test for BAER, eyes, hips, elbows, and patellas. My dogs come with a lifetime health guarantee in which I will pay for the treatment up to the cost of the dog. I also will purchase microchips from Avidog and will list myself as the alternate contact. I am passionate about finding my dogs the perfect home!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
