Meet the breeder

I'm Robert C., the breeder behind Jager located in Amesbury, MA. We produce hardy, robust, athletic, "Big Hearted" Boerboel dogs with excellent character. Our pups come from high-quality bloodlines. These dogs are a passion of ours, and we are devoted to doing whatever we can to preserve, protect, and improve this incredible breed! We would be honored to connect you with your next beloved pup!

Q. & A. with Robert

  • Why did you start breeding?

Purposeful and ethical breeding is so important for the healthy progression of the Boerboel. We are preservation breeders who always look to improve upon our dogs for attitude, movement, type, and hardiness. We are truly passionate about this breed and are dedicated to ensuring its future so that others may enjoy it for generations more to come!
  • What makes your program special?

We produce high-quality puppies from phenomenal bloodlines. We determine our breeding pairs based on the history and results of the breedings that have taken place over the last 15 years since most of our studs were born over half a decade ago! Our females have a proven generational history of strong, sound dogs that are good mothers. Bringing back dogs from 20+ years ago took a lot of patience and planning, but it was well worth it!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
