I'm Janean S., the breeder behind Janean's Golden Retrievers located in Liberty, KY. We are dedicated to the quality, health, and well-being of our dogs. All puppies are whelped in our home where they remain until they are old enough to transition to a warm puppy room attached to our home. Being in our home ensures daily interaction with all family members and the normal daily ongoings in a home. All litters may be AKC registered. Parents are genetically health tested, and have OFA certification. For specifics see further attachments. When puppies are ready for their new home they will leave with current recommended vaccines, and will have had their first well check at our veternarian’s office which included worming.

Why did you start breeding?
After experiencing our Goldens for years we have decided to provide quality litters for others to bring into their homes. It is our desire to sell to only those who desire to adopt one of our pups to love and become part of a new family.What makes your program special?
Along with raising the litters in our home, we will only breed genetically healthy dogs with OFA clearances, great temperaments (what Golden isn’t?), AKC registerable, and absolutely no over breeding!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Janean

Price
Puppy prices include a $400 deposit and between $800 - $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes health history including puppy worming, current vaccinations, health certificate check by our family’s Veternarian, and AKC puppy registration paperwork. The deposit is non-refundable unless agreed upon to be transferred to another available puppy.”

About Izzy
Izzy is sweet, loves everyone, and loves to chase geese out of the pond! She has a very compliant temperament, but she is quite brave for a female. When I walk our farm she will venture out in front of me and check out the hills for critters.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
