I'm Jessica H., the breeder behind Jay's Havi-nese located in Tennessee. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy Havanese for others to enjoy and do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality pups into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising our puppies to be the best family companions.

Why did you start breeding?
With an educational background in animal science, the love of the havanese breed, and being involved in other breeding programs I decided that it was time for my husband and I to share our love for both of our dogs and their fun, energetic, beautiful breed.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because Juniper and Bullet make it special. They are two of the greatest dogs, and exhibit only the best qualities of their breed; Juniper is a brown and white parti has a brown nose and brown eyes, Bullet is a black and white parti with a black nose and dark brown eyes we are hoping for puppies that better the breed! They both also have the belton genetic mark!Where do your breeding dogs live?

Juniper is so loving and playful. She loves children and loves anything to do with her ball. She is very fast, most dogs cannot keep up with her zoomies! We foster kittens and she has incredible motherly instincts, she is going to be the best mom!

Bullet loves to play and is very vocal. He has taught himself to use bells to potty train and when he is in trouble he smiles. He is loving and snuggles all the time!

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

I found Jay's Havi-nese through the Good Dog site. After filling out the screening application, Jessica, the breeder, promptly responded advising us the three-day old puppy we were interested in was available. At that time, we began the countdown to bringing our little boy home. Jessica sent pictures and videos throughout the entire process as we watched him grow into a beautiful puppy. As the time grew closer to bringing our puppy home we decided on the name "Elvis", Jessica registered him through AKC with a "gift" that included a monogramed blanket and various toys welcoming the new addition into our home. She also sent all medical and shot records after each visit to the veterinarian keeping us updated on his health and growth. When it was time to bring our little bundle of joy home, Jessica flew from Tennessee with Elvis to Southern Oregon to personally hand deliver him to us. Jessica is an amazing responsible breeder. To date, we have stayed in contact, and I regularly send her pictures and videos of Elvis as he grows into a beautiful happy healthy little love bug whose tail never stops wagging. I would highly recommend "Jay's Havi-nese" for anyone who is looking for a Havanese puppy.

Jessica is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond, keeping us updated with pictures and communication while Bubbles was with her mama and papa. She made us feel like a part of the family before Bubbles even came home. She's professional in every way, which left us secure in knowing that we'd made the right decision. All the gifts, toys, health records, and embroidered blanket... so sweet. She even sent little gifts for our other three doggies before Bubbles came home. All inoculation records were meticulously recorded and kept up to date too. I'd recommend her as a breeder to anyone in a heartbeat. Both Jessica and her hubby went the extra mile to make sure we had a pleasant experience. We LOVE Bubbles - she has a lot of spunk, and keeps us amused every day.
