I'm Jessica S., the breeder behind Jem Miniature American Shepherds located in Vivian, LA. With over 23 years of experience, our dogs are excellent representations of the breed, & we breed in order to preserve the wonderful attributes weve found in our dogs. We are deticated to both the health, quality, & temperament of the MAS breed by producing beautiful well rounded citizens.

I simply just wanted to carry on the preservation of my chosen breeds.What makes your program special?
We take great pride in our dogs and the happiness they bring to us and their people. We work very hard to be available to our families for the entire lifetime of the dogs we raise.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red & white, red tri-color, black & white, black tri, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jessica
Jessica has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jessica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price
"The price includes all pre-vetting and health testing of parents, health guarantee, AKC registration, microchip, vet exam etc., puppy pack & my support for the life of the dog. Deposit Amount is non refundable unless something happens to the puppy in our care prior to pick up. In that event, the deposit will be transferred to a comparable available puppy in the same or a future litter."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 04 Apr •…Steele! Appropriately named based on those eyes! This guy is looking for his new family, and is just the sweetest! We are working on crate training, he is already reliably pad trained and will start going outside after another vaccine! He also has a lovely black tri brother and sister looking for their people too! Health guarantee, vet check, microchipped, all the things!

Banner... better known as "Boop" is daughter to our Merlot, and just a super fun girl to live with. She is currently working on her CH title, and has two major wins under her belt with Best of Breed wins over specials as well. She is also working on her Fast cat titles, but she has already earned her FDC, ATT, and TKA titles and excels at anything we try! She has had one beautiful litter to date.

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation , Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
