Meet the breeder

I'm Rebecca D., the breeder behind Jewell Kennels located in Allerton, IA. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

Q. & A. with Rebecca

  • Why did you start breeding?

I’m a teacher with a passion for puppies! In 2016, I began breeding Bernedoodles and Goldendoodles because of their fun, goofy personalities and loving nature. I love working with them from birth and watching them grow into incredible companions. Many of our pups go on to be therapy and service dogs, bringing joy and support to those who need it most. Breeding these amazing dogs is truly my calling!
  • What makes your program special?

We specialize in raising Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles. Many of our puppies go on to be therapy dogs, as well as service dogs. It is our passion to raise well rounded family companions. Our puppies are handled from day one, and are exposed to children, household sights and sounds, other pets, and daily training. You will not be disappointed with one of our puppies!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
