I'm Joe T., the breeder behind Joe’s Poodles & Bernedoodles located in Rancho Mirage, CA. We have been breeding quality standard poodles for over twenty years, and bernedoodles for nearly nine years. Genetic testing and temperament selection and cultivation have been at the forefront of our breeding program since day one, and for this reason, our puppies are special! Thank you !

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was a junior dog handler as a child and I worked for a veterinarian during my junior high years. Dogs were always central to my being.

  • What makes your program special?

    I believe my careful genetic planning and my personal care and attentiveness to my program makes my puppies especially spectacular! If you join my Facebook group, you’ll see many of my clients come back for seconds, thirds and you might note Lori G has four of my Bernedoodles!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are standard size. Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are phantom. Bernedoodle puppies include black and white and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Joe

Joe has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Joe partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“I’m thorough in my screening of new clients and genetically my puppies are extremely well rounded, so I allow my clients to choose the puppy that they prefer, and if for whatever reason I don’t think it’s a proper fit, I reserve the right to persuade them to choose another puppy or refund their deposit.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,450 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price is dependent upon color and markings. Meaning all puppies will be tri color ( black, white and brown) but some will have more white and brown and will be more than those puppies that don’t such optimal coloring. A $500 refundable deposit is due to be placed on the puppy reserve list, and balance paid upon puppy pickup.”

Contract & health guarantee

Joe may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
