Meet the breeder

I'm Karen J., the breeder behind Johnson Kennels located in Calhoun, GA. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing these lovable breeds. We care so much about each of our dogs and make sure to find our puppies the perfect families and individuals with lifestyles that will complement our beautiful puppies.

Q. & A. with Karen

  • Why did you start breeding?

It started with the poodles that belonged to my cousin when I was a child. They were perfectly groomed, nails painted, completely spoiled. I wanted dogs like that! Delilah was my first doodle, an F1b Shipoo! She was perfectly paired with Sam, our Maltese boy. They had beautiful babies together for several years. Some of their pups I’m still in contact with today, which are over 12 years old!
  • What makes your program special?

As a dog breeder, we take pride in raising the best quality pups with excellent health, great temperaments, and beautiful coats. Our puppies come with a lifetime health guarantee and we’re always here to answer any questions you may have. We provide a loving environment for our puppies and ensure they are well-socialized with people and other pets.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include moyen and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, cream, red, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
