I'm Joy F., the breeder behind Joy Furey Pixy Puff Papillons located in Harrisburg, IL. I have loved Papillons for many years, but it wasn't until 2005 that I began raising them. In my opinion, they are some of the smartest and cutest dogs in the world. Puppies are raised inside my home. Weather permitting, puppies enjoy tumbling around outside on our mini-farm.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I had never heard of Papillons when I found an adorable, small puppy at a pound. I was told she was a Sheltie-Terrier mix. Years later I happened to see Kirby win Grand Champion. As soon as I saw him, I realized Missy had been a Papillon! In 2005, I had my first litter of Papillon puppies. Seeing the look on new owners faces when they see their puppy is priceless.

  • What makes your program special?

    I endeavor to raise happy, healthy puppies. In that effort, my puppies and adult dogs get to be dogs. They are not constantly cooped up inside. They see/interact with bigger dogs, cats and chickens and sometimes goats/ducks on our mini-farm. Parents of puppies have been tested and cleared or cleared through parentage/lineage for PRA-PAP1, NAD and von Willebrand disease; results upon request.

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Joy

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 deposit and between $1,600 - $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Litters are AKC registered and puppies come with AKC registration paperwork and a puppy contract with guarantee. Puppies will be up-to-date on vaccinations/dewormings. Deposit is 10% of the price and due after a puppy has been examined by a vet. Deposits are typically nonrefundable barring my determination of unusual circumstances.”

Joy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
