Q. & A. with Joyce
Why did you start breeding?
I first started breeding Schnauzers about 30+ years ago. I stopped for a while due to my health, but am now back at it! I’ve raised other breeds as well, but the Schnauzer was my favorite due to their fun personality, loyalty and how easy they are to train. They are also hypoallergenic, which was another major factor in choosing this select breed to raise.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised in a good, healthy environment, and are treated with care. All of their physical and emotional needs are seen to and they are well socialized in preparation to go to their new home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti, salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Layla, mom
Miniature Schnauzer
About Layla
Layla is our solid black lady. She has the greatest personality and loves attention. Her past litters have produced healthy and beautiful pups.
Bear, dad
Miniature Schnauzer
About Bear
There is our liver and tan male. He is a mega coat. He is extremely smart and guards are females very well!. He is also registered with AKC.
Muffin, mom
Miniature Schnauzer
About Muffin
Muffin is a salt and pepper parti with subtle hints of tan in her thick coat. She has a very gentle disposition and interacts well with people and other dogs. Her profile picture doesn’t reflect her coat as we had given her a mommy cut just before the puppies arrived. We do this in consideration for the puppies and her hygiene during the mommy phase.

We decided while on vacation in Florida to see if there were any Schnauzer breeders near us. (Our first Mini Schnauzer passed away several years ago and we had been waiting for the right time to get another one) Mrs. Joyce popped up with an available puppy that would be ready to go to his forever home when we would be headed back home to Tennessee. Last minute we reached out and Mrs. Joyce was so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a pleasure meeting with her and we felt that the interaction was seamless. We were at ease. She even gave us a cute little goody bag. You can tell she loves all of her puppies and is truly invested in their well being and who their "fur"ever family will be. We sent her some pics once we completed the trip home. Our Barney is the sweetest boy and we are blessed that we found Mrs. Joyce!!

We’re about a week into having our dog we got from Joyce. We love him already. He was obviously well taken care of under her care. He warmed up to our family immediately after being brought into our home.
After we placed our deposit on him, Joyce maintained regular contact with us up until the day we picked him up. She regularly sent pictures and videos to us. When we arrived to her home to pick up our little guy, she invited us into her home and sat with us and answered all the questions we had. It was very apparent how much she cares for her puppies and is important to her that the families are comfortable leaving with their new puppy and that the puppy is going to a good home.
We’re thrilled with our addition to the family and are very grateful to Joyce.

I had a great experience getting my miniature schnauzer from Joyce! She was so welcoming when I picked up the puppy and made the entire process super easy. Joyce really took the time to answer all of my questions and even checked in to make sure Cosette was settling in well - you can tell she really cares about her puppies!
Cosette is the perfect puppy, she has the sweetest disposition and is very smart. She was already mostly potty trained to use a pan when I brought her home, which made the transition so much easier. I couldn’t be happier with my choice, and I highly recommend Joyce to anyone looking for a miniature schnauzer!

"Joyce was a pleasure to work with. We lost our Mini Schnauzer a year ago and were nervous about going through the process of finding another puppy. We saw Betsys picture and did some research, and knew she was the one. Joyce made the whole transition very pleasant. She is so knowledgeable, and caring. You can tell she loves what she does. It was such a pleasure working with her,and we have already told two people about Gooddog, and Joyce's name. Thank you all so much! We love Betsy so much!"

We had recently lost our older of two Mini Schnauzers. We were heart broken. We decided to ho ahead and find a companion for our remaining female Mini Schnauzer. So the hunt was on! I by chance found Good Dog. We could not afford to pay $2,000 or more for a puppy. I checked the site and their reviews. Luckily, I happened upon a review for Joyce’s Mini Schnauzer then checked out her puppies. She still had one unreserved from a litter that was soon to be released. It was a little boy and he was beautiful. She responded quickly to my questions about the little boy. Joyce was extremely knowledgeable about raising Mini Schnauzers even though this was our fourth mini. After talking with her, we immediately placed a deposit and began the wait to pick up our little bundle of joy. She sent us pictures of him and even a video of the litter playing together. We were truly in love. When we picked him up she explained how she taught her puppies to go potty. The puppy actually came to us house trained! Wow! We have continued to use her method and I can’t tell you how this has helped with puppyhood. Yes, he nibbles like any puppy but it is so much easier not to have a puppy that had no idea about where to potty. Joyce raises beautiful puppies and you can tell once you meet her that she has true love and concern for for her puppies. I would highly recommend to anyone searching for a Mini Schnauzer to entertain getting one from her. Call her and speak with her. I know you won’t be disappointed! 😊
