I'm Robyn A., the breeder behind J&R Shepherds & Corgis located in Dickeyville, WI. We are a small breeder of AKC registered German Shepherds Dogs and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. We are located in the rural town of Dickeyville in the beautiful southwest Wisconsin. Our dogs are family dogs and are well cared for and accustom to our four children and all the chaos that comes with them. Wisconsin License Number: 500421.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always wanted to breed dogs and provide puppies to homes that want to add furry friend to their family. So when I fell in love with German Shepherds, and then Corgis, I knew it was time to get into breeding to share my love of the breeds with others.What makes your program special?
We focus on family pets, and providing healthy family pets from health tested parents, so future families don't have to worry about their pets having health issues. We also use puppy culture program to give our puppies the best start at life. And we are always here for our puppy families if they have any questions or suggestions, or even help finding a new home if their situation changes.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our German Shepherd puppies include long, plush, and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include red, sable, black and tan, white and red, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Robyn
Robyn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Robyn partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We have a first come first serve policy as we give those interested an idea of what to expect from parents temperament, and if that would fit their lifestyle they can chose an available puppy from the litter. We do give weekly updates on our fb page of where they are in temperament to give their families an idea of what their puppy will need to focus on first after being brought home.”
Price
“Our corgi's are 1600.00 & our GSD are also 1600.00. Full AKC registration, age appropriate shots, regularly dewormed, vet check, CVI, microchip, and puppy pack. We use puppy culture program to socialize. All of our puppies holding fees are the same no matter color, gender, or breed. We do not take a fee until pups are born and healthy. That could be a day after birth, or a couple of weeks.”

About Flare
Flare right now is sweet, laid-back, playful puppy. She was kept back to hopefully continue our lines on her mother's side. She has intelligent, curious eyes, is food motivated, picks up on new things quickly, and even though we know her dna health through parentage we are still doing a dna test with Akc dna+health so we can be sure each of our dogs are what we say they are.

About Lauger
Lauger is AKC, triple clear, bluie carrier. He is a very loving boy who sometimes helps his mom at work at our local University to provide cuddles. He isn't officially a certified therapy dog, but he has provided the same comfort and showed the same training(other than his heel work) as the Therapy dog who visits. He also adores kids and loves to sleep with his guardian homes son. He has a med/low energy which makes him very versatile when it comes to being happy to go hiking or chill. And he has enjoyed the few camping trips they have gone on as a family so far. He gets along or is neutral with other dogs after a proper introduction.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I have been wanting a corgi for as long as I can remember. Neither my husband or I have ever had a dog so this was a big leap. Robyn and her husband at J&R Shepherds and corgis fulfilled every expectation of a top notch breeder. They were so easy to work with, communicated all the time with stories and pics of our pup and answered all of our questions quickly. I cannot believe how much work they put into raising their pups and it shows with the well behaved, beautiful doggie we have now. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone seeking to add a loved one for a lifetime.
