I'm Jenna S., the breeder behind J & J Meadows located in Petersburg, MI. At J & J Meadows we raise exceptional Berner, Newfoundland, and Golden Retriever puppies in a loving and caring family environment on our farm. Our parent dogs are fully health tested (OFA Finals, Genetic Tested), litters are carefully planned out, puppies are raised in our home, and more!

Why did you start breeding?
I have a INCREDIBLE breeding mentor who took me under her wing and has taught me the importance of producing quality puppies who exemplify the best of this incredible breed.What makes your program special?
At J & J Meadows our journey begins with healthy, happy parents. All of our parent dogs are extremely well mannered, have great temperaments and undergo not only genetic testing but physical health testing. A healthy puppy begins with healthy parents! It is important that our parent dogs are the best examples of their breed in order to breed the best puppies.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are black rust and white. Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jenna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“Limited AKC Registration. Breeding rights may be purchased at 2 years old for an additional $1,000 if all OFA testing is completed and verified by me. Deposits are refundable if I am not able to produce your desired puppy in one year. I would request that you facetime with me before sending a deposit.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
