I'm Colt J., the breeder behind Juicy Standards located in Sheboygan, WI. Real Poodles >
There’s a reason every designer mix starts with a Poodle! We do not breed for profit - we breed to preserve the beautiful and unique Parti Poodle! Why doodle when you can poodle!? There’s no breed standard; coat, size, temperament - anyone’s guess. Ethical breeders do not mix breeds!
Q. & A. with Colt
Why did you start breeding?
We had our first Poodle for 12 years, Kicks, and always wished that we had puppies with her when we had the opportunity. Our current Poodle, Norma, is our “heart dog” and we knew she would be a wonderful mother, and is a great example of the breed. When we opened our own grooming salon, we decided to breed our pet Poodles to support and advertise our business, Punky Pets.
What makes your program special?
We don’t mutilate or alter the appearance of our puppies; natural tails and dew claws (thumbs) are intact! We practice early neurological stimulation, introduce our puppies to grooming and crate training at an early age, and they are raised with our young children in our home alongside their parents, our family pets! Our sire and dam have full OFA health testing, exceeding the breed recommendation
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
