I'm Julie G., the breeder behind Julie Getter's Golden Retrievers located in Arnold, CA. We offer top-quality, loving family pets with a focus on temperament & service. We're dedicated to placing pups into loving homes. All of our dogs are health-tested, embark tested, and CGC (The American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test) tested. I have trained service dogs for 8 years and I have also worked under a mentor breeder for guidance and training.
Q. & A. with Julie
Why did you start breeding?
I have been studding out my males for 8 years and am starting to breed my own female. I breed primarily for family dogs but also look for qualities that would make excellent service and/or therapy dogs. I want others to experience the same unique service experience that I have with this breed.
What makes your program special?
I breed and train service dogs and offer both full and limited registration. All my dogs go through Alliance of Therapy Dog certification and CGC (Canine Good Citizen) training through AKC. CGC is a program to promote responsible dog ownership and to encourage the training of well-mannered dogs. I will offer advice to my buyers that want to train their dogs for service work. If there is a need, I may offer classes through zoom or another meeting platform.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
