Welcome to Juniper Grove Havanese (JGH), a family-run ranch on our 2-acre property, surrounded by juniper and redwood trees. At JGH, we’re passionate about the Havanese breed. We raise each puppy with care. Our dogs are family, and we’re honored to share them with you.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    It was our Havanese, Amos, who changed everything for us. Amos had a truly unique personality—gentle, affectionate, and full of joy—and he became the inspiration behind our decision to breed Havanese dogs as hobby breeders. Our goal is to ensure that each puppy we raise reflects the qualities that made Amos so special: intelligence, warmth, and a strong bond with their human families.

    As a family, we are committed to breeding healthy, happy, and well-socialized Havanese puppies, raised in a loving environment where they are treated as part of the family. Our small, personalized operation allows us to focus on each dog’s well-being and ensure they are ready to join their new homes as loyal companions.

Getting a puppy from Stephanie

  • von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), Canine Multifocal Retinopathy (cmr3; BEST1 Exon 10 SNP), Chondrodystrophy (CDDY and IVDD Risk) with or without Chondrodysplasia (CDPA)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We were looking to adopt a new puppy when we lost our own dog of 13 years. We decided on getting a Havanese, even though we are inexperienced with the breed. We chose JGH because they are a family oriented breeder, and this seems to be the first litter with the parent pair. We can tell that they really care about their dogs.     We’re so grateful to have found this breeder. From the very start, everything about the process was easy and stress-free. Anytime we had a question about Millie, they took the time to answer thoughtfully and with real care. You could tell right away how knowledgeable and experienced they are with the Havenese breed.
